“Overwhelmed and can’t cope with the level of mental health distress”.

One in five teenagers have reported moderate to severe depression in the last year according to Headstrong – a mental health organisation for young people.

So what support are schools providing to students coping with emotional distress?

In the second report of my three-part series for RTÉ’s Morning Ireland, I visited secondary schools in Galway and Dublin to see how they are coping with mental health and what services are available to them.
