Part 1: Mental health services in schools

This is the first of a three-part series for RTÉ’s Morning Ireland looking at mental health services and campaigns in education.

Part one focuses on primary schools with principals describing mental health services as ‘grossly inadequate’ and claiming that teachers are taking the initiative themselves to promote positive mental health in young people.

Tomorrow and Friday I’ll be looking at the services available in secondary schools and third level with the Education Minister, Jan O’Sullivan responding to the claims.
